Do I need a cottage license to sell my meals in DRIZL?bullet
Yes, you will need to provide us a valid cottage permit in order to sell your meals through the app.
What information do I need to provide in order to sell my meals?bullet
There are three things that you’ll need to provide: (1) Your address where you make your meals (2) Your cottage license information and (3) A completed W9 form for tax purposes.
Why do you require Artisans to submit a W9 form during registration?bullet
We require all Artisans to submit a W9 for tax purposes and to perform a TIN check. You can find out more about Taxpayer Identification Matching (TIN) on the irs.gov website.
Are there limitations to what I can prepare and sell on DRIZL?bullet
Yes, cottage licenses in each state limit what type of foods can be made. When applying for your cottage license, you will be made aware of those limitations.
How do I get a cottage license?bullet
Every state has a governing authority that oversees cottage food licenses. Contact your local agency for details about applying and qualifying for a cottage license.
How do I get paid for my sales?bullet
You will need to link DRIZL with a valid bank account. DRIZL will deposit your sales into your bank account approximately 1-2 business days after each sale.
Do I need to collect sales tax?bullet
No, we will take care of all sales tax on your behalf but you should still double check with your local state and municipalities to ensure you are not liable for any other taxes.
Does DRIZL apply a fee to my meal sales?bullet
Yes, DRIZL applies a 20% fee to all sales. This includes all credit card processing fees.
If a customer requests a meal, am I required to make it?bullet
No, a customer only sends a request for your meal. You can choose to reject the request but we strongly encourage you to use the Chat feature of the app to try to negotiate a way to still produce and deliver the meal.
Can I ship my meals to other states?bullet
Laws regarding shipping cottage meals differ from state to state. Contact your local authority that oversees cottage licensing about what you can and can't ship.
Can I see a list of my previous sales?bullet
Yes, you can see a list of your recent sales in the ‘reporting’ section of your app.
A user has posted a false or improper rating/review of one of my meals. What can I do?bullet
Please send an email to support@drizl.app with the details of the review and we will look into it right away. If we find that the review or rating to be against our terms and conditions or guidelines, we will remove it.

Technical FAQ

My meals are not showing up in the feed.bullet
Double check that the 'Available to Take Orders' option is enabled in your menu and you've enabled all your meals in your menu.
I want to cancel my account, what do I do?bullet
send an email to support@drizl.app stating your intent and we will assist you in canceling your account.
I'm having an issue with the app. What should I do?bullet
